Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: January 10th, 2026

1) New Team Reportedly in the Mix for Brian Flores: Any wise team with an opening at head coach would be interested. But, to be sure, the NFL is consistently a place where wisdom goes poof. Best case for the Vikings is that the DC will remain but that’s looking less likely by the day.

2) Vikings Lose Rookie for Good: Odd decision. The young linebacker possesses a good build and was a promising part of Minnesota’s strong special teams. Plus, the LB spot is pretty old, so Austin Keys looked like a sneaky part of the future. Again, an odd decision to show him the door.

3) Vikings DC Sees One Coaching Gig Taken Off the Board: The best case scenario for Coach Flores is to land with the Baltimore Ravens. The brilliant defensive strategist would lead a tremendous franchise — one far ahead of the Vikings — that boasts a loaded roster. Hard to think he won’t jump if the offer gets made.

4) Brian Flores Named as Head Coach Candidate for New Spot: The DC has generated interest aplenty. So has some of his assistants (the safeties coach and the defensive backs coach). Quite possible, folks, that Minnesota’s impressive defense sees the top coaches stolen away, hollowing out the main strategists behind a phase of the ball that has overachieved.

5) Report: Vikings Standout Free Agent to Return in 2026: Pretty simple. The defensive tackle is excellent, far exceeding expectations since being brought to Minnesota. The wild detail that people forget? Just that Minnesota cut Redmond back in 2024, dropping him down to the practice squad. The entire NFL therefore had a shot at signing him but opted against it. Sometimes, getting lucky is necessary.
