Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: February 1st, 2025

1) Vikings QB Appears to Say Goodbye: Could be nothing, could be a goodbye. Best guess at this stage is that Sam Darnold is going to move on to be the QB1 for a new team. For a little while now, I’ve been arguing that we’re going to see a tag-and-trade. I still think it’s the likeliest scenario.

2) Vikings Named Possible Landing Spot for Speedy QB: Kind of a fascinating option. Right now, Minnesota has J.J. McCarthy and Brett Rypien as quarterback options in 2025. Elevating the upside with the still-young veteran makes a lot of sense even if Daniel Jones is the wisest choice to be the QB2.

3) Vikings Named a Landing Spot for Prominent RB: Aaron Jones has a good chance of returning. The former Packer can run reasonably well, do quite a bit as a pass catcher, and protect the QB when called upon to block. Partner him with a young runner from the draft and move forward.

4) Sam Darnold’s Price Tag Takes Shape: Seeing the number get past $40 million per season would be fairly surprising. Had he pushed Minnesota past Detroit in Week 18 and then on a playoff run, Darnold could have commanded a ton. Instead, he fell flat.

5) 3 Vikings Who Will Vanish for Good: Going to be lots of change during the current offseason. No doubt, the Vikings are going to keep a lot of their in-house guys, but plenty will walk away, too. Is Kwesi Adofo-Mensah going to play the compensatory pick game?
