The View from VT: Unusual Roster Move, MIN to KC, and Loving a New FA

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: April 12th, 2025

1) Vikings Make First Roster Move in 2 Weeks: The release was a touch unforeseen. Sure, Nahshon Wright looked like he didn’t have a great chance to make the final roster, but why a roster cut at this stage of the offseason? Alas, the long and fast corner will now be putting in work with the Bears (alongside Case Keenum).

2) Former Vikings Pass Rusher Ends up with Chiefs: Going over to Kansas City means at least a couple things. First, there’s a great chance to snag a Super Bowl, which is a great incentive to put in work there. Second, there’s the ability to work under Steve Spagnuolo, a tremendous defensive mind.

3) Vikings Fans Fall in Love with New Free Agent Target: In a lot of ways, bringing in free agents is all about hope. Signing this player will make things different. And, at times, the idea actually comes to fruition. Sometimes, the free-agent deals work out wonderfully. Does the FA corner make sense to add for Brian Flores’ defense?

4) Anonymous Source Has Wild Claims about Vikings GM: Quite often, outside voices don’t really understand Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. That’s not to say that the GM can’t be criticized or that he’s never wrong. Rather, the point is merely that Adofo-Mensah often follows his own bold, unique path.

5) New Viking Feels Cheated: Playing in Minnesota is going to feel a lot different than playing in Washington. Now, the Commanders are (mercifully) making some huge changes. Safe to say, though, that the Vikings’ reputation is much, much better.
