Ranking the Vikings’ Jerseys for the 2024 Season
The Minnesota Vikings recently unveiled an awesome new uniform for the 2024 season. The all-white uniforms with purple letters and numbers are dubbed the “Winter Warrior” jerseys.
The new look is sure to become a fan favorite instantly. This new uniform combination will join “The Vikings Classic,” from last year as the team’s alternate options in 2024. The Vikings’ purple jerseys are one of the classic NFL uniforms, but it’s always nice to switch it up occasionally.

4. Road White
Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing bad about the white jerseys the team wears on the road. These are very clean, with a perfect amount of purple and gold sprinkled in to make it not boring. However, the Vikings have some classic jerseys, and this one falls just short of the others.
The Vikings have worn these jerseys since the 2013 season, and there’s no reason to change it now. When worn with purple pants and socks, it looks even better. Not many professional teams have purple and gold as their colors, which makes the Vikings’ uniforms original and recognizable.
3. Home Purple
One of the most classic jerseys in the league is the Vikings’ home purple jersey. Like the road jerseys, the home jerseys have a perfect blend of purple, gold, and white. The “Vikings” script on the front is gold, but the numbers and letters are white. The sleeves have a gold and a white stripe, and the white pants typically worn with these jerseys have a gold and purple stripe down the sides.
This jersey is great because it’s a simple modern spin on a classic jersey. Many teams have tried to do too much to modernize their jerseys, but this one is the perfect blend of modern and classic. I can’t imagine the team doing much to change this one in the near future.
2. Winter Warrior
The newest jersey, dubbed the “Winter Warrior,” is already one of the best jerseys in the league. This sleak new addition is all-white with purple letters and numbers, a purple Nike logo on the sleeves, and a purple stripe on each sleeve as well.
It could just be because it’s new, but I think this is already one of the team’s best options. The team did a similar “Winter Whiteout” jersey in 2022, but some fans disapproved because the helmet was still purple. This time, the team seemingly listened to the fans and paired the white jersey with a white helmet. The classic horn logo has a purple outline on a white helmet now.
While most fans will love this design, there is still one jersey that is better.
1. The Classic
There should be no doubt what the team’s best jersey is. In 2023, the Vikings kicked off the season by wearing “The Classic” uniform that is inspired by the Vikings’ teams of the 1960s and ’70s. The jersey somehow looks modern and classic at the same time, with the deeper purple hue and gold stripes giving off a vintage feel.
Per the Vikings’ website, the jerseys “include large numbers with traditional slab serif font and gold trim. Sleeves feature the original classic striping.” This, along with the “Winter Warrior,” will be an alternative option for the Vikings this season.
These uniforms were worn during one of the most successful eras of Vikings’ football. Wearing these in the modern era is not only a nod to these times, it’s a great look that holds up well after all these years.
