Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: September 28th, 2024

1) Source: T.J. Hockenson’s Return Not Right around the Corner: Truth be told, it’s impossible to fully know when the TE1 will make it back onto the field. The decision comes down to some combination of the man himself, the coaching staff, and then the medical team. Week 5 is a possibility but seeing a post-bye return won’t be surprising.

2) Former Viking Signs with Chargers: In a lot of ways, the Chargers are the Vikings of the AFC. A long history and tons of franchise greats but no shortage of heartbreak and crazy ways to lose. Hopefully, the former Viking can pickup plenty of work in LA and stick around for a little while.

3) Once-Promising Former Viking Lost for the Season: Talent isn’t the issue. If it came down to just ability, Marcus Davenport would rightly be recognized as being about the most fearsome pass rushers in the NFL. The issue is simply that he can’t remain healthy, an unfortunate reality that has hampered his career.

4) Vaunted Vikings Coach May Not Stick Around for Long: Few, if any, could argue that Brian Flores isn’t a brilliant tactician. The man knows how to get the most out of his players and his scheme has been causing all kinds of trouble in 2024. Does he get another chance to become a head coach somewhere? He deserves an opportunity.

5) Ex-Vikings Safety Tears ACL: Really unfortunate news. Injuries are a very real part of playing football but it’s also one of the most discouraging parts of the game. Ideally, the safety gets back to full health before too long so he can continue a productive career.
