The Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos are set to conclude the Sunday slate of action in Week 11 with a primetime matchup.

Throughout the week, Minnesota has been dealing with a number of new injuries, a few crazy theories about their future, and a reunion with a former first-round pick. In case you missed any of the purple headlines from this week, take a look down below.

More Vikings Injuries

The Vikings have been banged up in a number of different areas throughout the season, and the aftermath of Week 10 was no different.

Minnesota had to place LB Jordan Hicks on IR because of a lower leg contusion while also ruling out CB Akayleb Evans for this weekend’s action due to a calf injury. As a result, young Vikings defenders like Mekhi Blackmon, Andrew Booth, and Ivan Pace will be relied upon to fill the void.

Alexander Mattison is also listed as questionable going into Sunday, but it would be surprising if he played seeing as he suffered a concussion in Week 10 against the Saints. Ty Chandler could be in line for a big work day too if Mattison does indeed sit out this weekend.

Kirk Cousins to the Packers?

One of the biggest questions for the Vikings next offseason will be at their quarterback spot. There has been a ton of buzz around Minnesota potentially selecting a QB early in the draft, but with Kirk Cousins’ Achilles injury, they could likely bring back the veteran at a discounted price next year.

Regardless, the latest Cousins theory involves him not only leaving the Vikings but jumping across the state border to join none other than the Green Bay Packers.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano floated the theory into the web this week during a roundtable discussion, explaining that Green Bay could look to move on from Jordan Love as their starting QB after an underwhelming first half of the year. It would be a pretty wild turn of events, but with this duo’s pedigree covering the NFL, it could be something to keep an eye on.

Anthony Barr Comes Home

With Hicks heading to IR, the Vikings needed to add some extra veteran depth at their linebacker spot heading into Week 11.

Who else fits the bill of a blitzing specialist who can capture the hearts of Vikings fans better than Anthony Barr? Minnesota signed their former 2014 first-round pick to the practice squad earlier in the week, and assuming they don’t solely rely on Brian Asamoah, Troy Dye, and Pace, the linebacker could appear back in a Vikings uniform this weekend.
