The Minnesota Vikings released their inactives list earlier on Sunday, and we found out that two Vikings starters won’t suit up this weekend.

Unfortunately, the Los Angeles Chargers find themselves in a very similar situation. The Chargers listed three starters as inactive ahead of Sunday’s matchup. Here is a look at the full list:

  • CB J.C. Jackson
  • RB Austin Ekeler
  • LB Eric Kendricks
  • G Brenden Jaimes
  • OT Zach Bailey
  • DL Christopher Hinton

LA will be without all three of Austin Ekeler, J.C. Jackson, and Eric Kendricks on Sunday. Interestingly, Jackson has been listed as a healthy scrath after starting both of the Chargers first two games this season.

Both Ekeler and Kendricks will miss their second games of the season due to injuries. Ekeler has been a star for LA when healthy, but he is set to be replaced for the second consecutive week by Joshua Kelley, who has totaled 29 carries for 130 yards and a touchdown this season.

With Kendricks out of the lineup as well, this means he won’t get a shot at a revenge game against the Vikings. The linebacker was selected by Minnesota in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft and immediately became a starter for the team.

Over his eight seasons in Minnesota, Kendricks started 113 games for the Vikings, recording 919 tackles, 54 TFLs, 15 sacks, 51 PDs, 9 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles, and 6 fumble recoveries and was named a first-team All-Pro during the 2019 season.

Since Kendricks is out, the Chargers will rely on Kenneth Murray, Nick Niemann, Amen Ogbongbemiga, Daiyan Henley, and Tanner Muse at the linebacker spot. Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for 12 PM Central.
