Well, the Minnesota Vikings are running things back with the same injury report as Monday. Tuesday brought no changes to the Vikings Week 12 injury report as the same six players were listed with the same levels of participation:

  • CB Andrew Booth Jr.- DNP (knee)
  • LT Christian Darrisaw- DNP (concussion)
  • CB Akayleb Evans- Limited (concussion)
  • WR Justin Jefferson- Full (toe)
  • OLB Za’Darius Smith- Limited (knee)
  • DE Dalvin Tomlinson- Limited (calf)

The good news for the Vikings with this is that no one found themselves more seriously hurt than Monday. Justin Jefferson remains a full participant, albeit in a walkthrough, as he recovers from his mild turf toe that he suffered against Buffalo.

Additionally, Dalvin Tomlinson continues to get his first practices in since injuring his calf against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8. If he returns to the field on Thursday night, that would dramatically help a Minnesota Vikings squad that struggled to stop the Dallas RB duo of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard last Sunday.

However, the longer that Andrew Booth Jr. and Akayleb Evans remain on this list as DNP or limited, the harder it is not to worry about the Vikings CB position heading into the Thanksgiving game against New England.

The Vikings have already been relying on cornerback depth since starter Cam Dantzler went on IR prior to the Buffalo Bills game. If both Booth and Evans have to sit this week, it would be on practice squad players Duke Shelley and Tay Gowan to hold down the fort in the secondary.

Shelley was signed to the active roster following the Bills win, but he got his start with Minnesota on the practice squad. Meanwhile, Gowan has always had the potential to be a starting caliber CB, but he hasn’t gotten an opportunity to showcase those skills. Perhaps this will be the week that he gets that chance.

As for the New England Patriots, they have a pair of offensive linemen with their statuses for Thursday in doubt. Both Isaiah Wynn and David Andrews once again were on the report, with Wynn listed as a DNP. Here is the full list of injuries for the Patriots on Tuesday:

  • OL Isaiah Wynn- DNP (foot)
  • C David Andrews- Limited (thigh)
  • LB Anfernee Jennings- Limited (back)
  • DB Marcus Jones- Limited (ankle)
  • WR Devante Parker- Limited (knee)
  • LB Josh Uche- Limited (hamstring)

Along with the injuries to the New England offensive line, there are some notable defensive injuries as well.

Anfernee Jennings has been a quality rotational linebacker for the Patriots this season, and he’s made a pair of starts as well. Meanwhile, Josh Uche is two weeks removed from recording three sacks against the Indianapolis Colts as part of New England’s 26-3 win.

The two teams will release one final injury report on Wednesday ahead of Thanksgiving Night’s showdown at U.S. Bank Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:20 PM CST.
