Q: I saw something where the Vikings could or should trade for Jerry Jeudy. Thoughts?

A: If Jeudy was available for cheap — sure.

But that is unlikely the case, so we’ll say no. Just because the Broncos are playing buffoonishly doesn’t mean Jeudy would be available for an affordable pricetag.

There are some rumors suggesting Jeudy is on the trade block due to Denver’s mind-boggling poor start, but the Vikings probably won’t be players for him. Minnesota already traded for its “other 2020 WR” in Jalen Reagor. The team should use him rather than dream about Jeudy.

Q: Doesn’t the Vikings 3.5-point spread against the Cardinals, at home, feel a little low?

A: Yes.

The point spread implies the Vikings are only a half-point better than the Cardinals, as the home team in an NFL game is generally granted three points of favoritism off the bat.

The Vikings are 5-1, whereas the Cardinals are 3-4 and have looked hapless in some games. Still, Minnesota struggles versus mobile quarterbacks — especially with Ed Donatell in charge — and Kyler Murray is precisely that, a mobile quarterback.

Perhaps the line will tick up in the coming days, but “only 3.5 points” feels low for a 5-1 team at home against a 3-4 one.

Q: Do you think Chris Reed will be traded?

Indianapolis Colts guard Danny Pinter (63) and guard Chris Reed (62) warm up before facing the Texans on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at NRG Stadium in Houston. Indianapolis Colts Versus Houston Texans On Sunday Dec 5 2021 At Nrg Stadium In Houston Texas

A: If the Vikings trade anybody, we believe it would be Reed — to another playoff-contending team.

However, it is unclear if the Vikings will make any moves before the November 1st trade deadline, so maybe the franchise will just save Reed for insurance. If Ezra Cleveland or Ed Ingram were injured, Reed would be the next man up. And if the Vikings enjoy this newfound offensive line competence — they should — holstering a contingency plan in Reed is wise.

Reed could start for other teams, but that doesn’t mean general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah should trade him.
