Minnesota’s practice squad is starting to come together. In fact, the team is getting pretty close to the 16-player limit.

Take a look at the concise info provided from Kevin Seifert of ESPN:

In case it’s hard to read from the image, here are the 12 players and positions:

  • Trishton Jackson, WR
  • Nick Muse, TE
  • Parry Nickerson, CB
  • Bryant Koback, RB
  • Myles Dorn, S
  • William Kwenkeu, LB
  • T.J. Smith, DT
  • Jaylen Twyman, DT
  • Josh Sokol, C
  • Kyle Hinton, iOL
  • Dan Chisena, WR
  • Janarius Robinson, Edge Rusher

We’ve also learned that the Vikings will be moving on from sophomore receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette following the Jalen Reagor trade. One wonders if Smith-Marsette will be added to the practice squad. He’s a talented player, so it’d make some sense for the Vikings to make an effort to retain him.

We’ve also learned that Sean Mannion is heading to Seattle, Kellen Mond has been claimed by Cleveland, and Chazz Surratt is now with the Jets.

In the end, Minnesota has a roster that is starting to look quite a bit different from last year’s.

Minnesota’s practice squad will remain a work in progress. We’ll see who Kwesi Adofo-Mensah decides to add to get the team up to 16 players.
