Former Eagles Are Seeking Revenge with Vikings

When the Minnesota Vikings got a massive win over the Green Bay Packers, it was a little extra sweet for former Packers Za’Darius Smith and Chandon Sullivan. As the Vikings head into their Monday Night Football matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, there are a few former Eagles that are seeking revenge on their former team with the Vikings.

Firstly, Jalen Reagor was asked by Chris Tomasson of the Pioner Press if there was any sort of “revenge” factor going back to Philadelphia. He replied by saying, “Of course, why not? But I’m not going to go into the game pressing. Just going to let the game come to me. Whatever plays I make, make the best of them.”
Reagor was drafted by Philadelphia in 2020, one pick before the Vikings selected Justin Jefferson, and he spent three seasons with the Eagles. As a receiver he caught 64 passes for 695 yards and three touchdowns while in Philadelphia. He projects to mainly return punts in his return to Philly with the Vikings, unless Kevin O’Connell has a plan for him in the offense that he is yet to unveil.
In addition, linebacker Jordan Hicks got his NFL career started in Philadelphia, playing four seasons with the Eagles. This is also his first time returning to the city since leaving the team, and when Tomasson asked him about his feelings in his return, Hicks had this to say:
“I’m excited to see the city, play in that stadium again. I’m sure it will bring back a lot of memories, but I’ll be on the other side and feel what it’s like being an away team playing there”
During his four seasons with the Eagles, Hicks played 43 games and recorded 254 tackles, 12 TFLs, and 7 INTs. He eventually left Philadelphia for the Arizona Cardinals in free agency in 2019. He then joined the Vikings this offseason.
Philadelphia will play host to the Vikings and these former Eagles on Monday, September 19th.
