Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Keeps Trading

Gotta Hear It: Vikings Quote of the Day -- March 15, 2022

Before getting to the NFL, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah traded stocks. Now, it’s draft picks.

Rather than stay put at 126, the Vikings traded with the Raiders, bringing in the 165th and 169th picks in return.

In so doing, Minnesota has now traded 6 times and we aren’t even through the fourth round. At first, Minnesota shocked us all by dropping from 12 all the way down the 32, gaining a better pick in the second round and then an entirely new third rounder. Instead of hanging onto the 34th pick, Minnesota made a deal with the Packers for 53 and 59.

Since that time, the Vikings have done deals with the Browns, Raiders (twice), and Indianapolis.

It’s anyone’s guess how the rest of the draft will proceed. Currently, the team has five picks left: 165, 169, 184, 191, and 227. The very recent history suggests there will at least be a few more deals before it’s all said and done.

Stay tuned.
